Godzilla Arrives: The R32 Takes the Mountain
The R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R didn't just win the 1991 Tooheys 1000 - it broke the race. Driven by Jim Richards and Mark Skaife for Gibson Motorsport, the all-wheel-drive, twin-turbo #1 GT-R conquered Mount Panorama by a full lap, setting a race time of 6 hours, 19 minutes and 14.8 seconds that would stand unbroken for 19 years.
It was Richards' fifth Bathurst victory and Skaife's first - the beginning of a partnership that would define the era. The car's dominance was so absolute that after back-to-back wins in 1991 and 1992, the GT-R was effectively banned from the category. "Godzilla" had arrived, and nothing would be the same.
Printed in Australia on premium fabric, this race-inspired tribute tee features the iconic red, white and blue livery of the 1991 winner. Add your name or number plate to make it uniquely yours.
